A patched up side, a short bench, and plenty of players out of their favoured positions.

No big match report today, sorry, as our chief match reporter decided to go for a little run. 🤣
Tough day at the office for the team today. A few players out through injury or illness left us with a small bench and players not always in their favoured position.
Penarth were out of the blocks quickly, scoring inside two minutes and adding a second on fourteen. A third just before the break made it 19-0 at half time, and when they went over again two minutes into the second half the afternoon was always going to be an uphill one.
But there were still some good moments, with a few players putting their hands up for player of the match. Vickers was strong in the centre and there was a strong work rate from James. Charlie D got the try the effort deserved late on, with Luca adding the conversion to put a score on the board.
A hard afternoon, but the heads stayed up and nobody stopped working.

Some hard carries on an afternoon when going forward was difficult. Kept putting his hand up for the ball when it would have been easier to let somebody else take it.
Busy all afternoon at the base with a pack going backwards more often than forwards. Kept the ball moving and never let the tempo drop.
Hands up from around the park. 🍾
Strong in the centre all afternoon, and a real handful every time he got the ball. 💪
A strong work rate from start to finish. Never stopped, however the scoreboard was looking. ⚓️
Got us on the board late on, and the whole touchline needed it. 🥧
Slotted the conversion to make it seven. 👌
Every score, as it happened. Whitchurch first.
Hailey Park, 4 October 2026.
Club tradition, duly served. 😅
As it went out to the squad.
