Whitchurch RFC Under 15s
2026/27 Season • Under 15s
The six who set the standard for the Warriors, on the pitch and off it.
A team takes its character from the players who lead it. These six carry that responsibility for the Warriors this season.
Leadership in age grade rugby is not about shouting. It is about being the one who does the right thing when it would be easier not to: making the extra tackle, getting back on his feet, picking a teammate up after a mistake rather than letting a head drop. Games at this level swing on moments like that, and the boys around them notice every single time.
That is why the group is drawn from across the side rather than from one position. Front row, back row, half backs: wherever the game is being decided, somebody in this group is close enough to steady it. They set the tone in training on a wet Wednesday as much as they do on a Sunday, and they are the ones who make sure a new player feels part of it by the end of his first session.
Team. Discipline. Respect. Progress. Family. Those five words sit on the wall at the club and on every Warriors shirt photograph. This group is how they stop being words and start being the way the side actually plays.
As a fly half Jacob brings composure to the most exposed position on the field, coordinating the forwards and the backs and providing strong leadership both on and off it. Ten is the shirt everyone looks to for the next decision, which makes it the natural place for a captain: he is already in the conversation for every phase of the game, and the side takes its calm from him.
Front row graft and the dog work nobody sees. Leads the charge by doing the hard jobs first and keeping his head when the game gets niggly.
The enforcer. An intelligent reader of the game, never shy of contact, and always makes every effort to be there to support the team and wear the colours.
The middle of the front row is where the set piece lives or dies. Jackson organises it, and that organising instinct carries into everything else he does.
Plays with his heart on his sleeve. Passion, commitment and a perfect record: he has never missed a training session or a game.
Solid and versatile. Has worn 1, 2 and 3 this season, and does the job whichever front row shirt he is handed.
Every one of these shirts is backed by somebody local, and so is every other shirt in the squad. Our thanks to Easy Security Systems, Zero Alpha Solutions, Ryan Payne Plumbing & Heating, AT Heating & Plumbing and Sprayright, and to everyone on our sponsors page, for keeping this team on the pitch.
Position to be confirmed.
