Whitchurch RFC Under 15s
Elliott plays in the back row, and he is one of the genuine stalwarts of this squad.
The back row is where a game is won or lost in the places nobody puts on a highlight reel. First to the breakdown, last off the deck, tackling in midfield one minute and carrying off the base of the scrum the next. It is relentless work, and the players who do it well are the ones a team cannot do without.
That is Elliott. He turns up, he puts a shift in, and the standard never drops. Week in and week out he does the unglamorous jobs properly, and the boys around him play better for it. Coaches will tell you that the player you can count on every single week is worth more than the one who produces something spectacular once a season.
He is a genuinely good athlete too, and just as comfortable with a football at his feet as a rugby ball in his hands. That kind of all-round ability shows up in the way he moves around the park, and there is a bright future ahead of him in whichever direction he decides to take it.

Backing our players, one season at a time.
Elliott is proud to be sponsored this season by Carbon Law Partners, a UK law firm built around a simple idea: law made for you.
Carbon does things differently to a traditional practice. Instead of the usual pyramid of partners, associates and billable hour targets, it runs as a platform that lets experienced lawyers look after their own clients with real independence, backed by the firm behind them. The lawyer keeps the relationship, and the client gets somebody who is measured on doing the job properly rather than on hitting an hours target.
Their lawyers cover a broad spread of work for both individuals and businesses, including conveyancing, probate and debt recovery.
Sponsorship like this is what keeps a junior section going. It pays for kit, tournament entries and the travel that gets the boys to games, and it means every player gets the same chance regardless of what is going on at home. Our thanks to everyone at Carbon for getting behind Elliott and the Warriors this season.
