From the Team Manager.
A second game in one afternoon, against a big Chepstow side, and the boys kept going right to the whistle. πͺ
Chepstow had the opening score after six minutes, but Khadr answered back on twelve and we were level. That set the pattern for the half. Chepstow edged ahead again on twenty, and Khadr went over for his second on thirty four to bring it back to 10-10.
The sting came right on half time. Chepstow found a try and added the conversion with the clock gone, and instead of going in level we were seven points down.
Fourteen minutes into the second half came the moment of the game. Ben picked up just inside the opposition half, ran at pace, put in a grubber kick, nudged it forward again and dived on it. A brilliant individual score, and it put us right back in it at 15-17.
Chepstow scored again with the conversion a few minutes later, and that was the gap we could not close. Some great physical battles all over the pitch, and tired legs from the morning game that never once stopped working.
Two games, two narrow defeats, and a squad that can hold its head up.

Picked the ball up just inside the opposition half, ran at pace, grubbered through, nudged it forward and dived on it. A try made entirely on his own, and the moment that brought us back into the game.
Our South African πΏπ¦ was into everything, carrying hard and tackling harder against a big Chepstow pack. Did not take a backward step all afternoon.
Special mentions from the sideline. πΎ
Both of our first half scores, and both of them levelled the game up. Led from the back of the scrum. π₯§π₯§
Second game of the day, legs already gone from the valley in the morning, and still asking questions of Chepstow in the last ten minutes. βοΈ
Every score, as it happened. Whitchurch first.
Home to Chepstow, 13 September 2026.
As it went out to the squad.
The first game of the day, away up the valley.
